Houston Area NexGen Gathering
Michael Kitces will be speaking at our Houston FPA meeting on March 3rd. We have decided to get an impromptu NexGen gathering together on Sunday March 2nd. We will be meeting at the Cheesecake Factory in the Galleria at 6:00pm, casual attire. 5015 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77056. Please let Jason McGarraugh know if you will be able to make it for dinner so he can give the restaurant a head count. If the turnout is large enough we may change the location. I will keep you all in the loop.

Position at Partners in Wealth - Houston, TX
This position is a tremendous opportunity to work for a fee-only financial advisory firm, which serves a growing base of high net worth clients. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the client advisory relationship including: personal consultation, financial plan design, implementation, annual reviews, and coordination of financially related issues with the clients’ other advisors (CPA’s, attorneys, etc.). This individual will work along with and learn from the founder of the firm and the other planner in the office. There are no sales or business development responsibilities in this position.

New Esteemed Faculty
TTU PFP took a huge step forward in the past year, adding Deena Katz and Harold Evensky to the Faculty roster. Deena is an Associate Professor currently teaching Professional Practices, and will soon teach the Internship class (summer 2007) and Introduction to PFP (fall 2007). She is also taking a leadership role in career development and professional relationships efforts – so if you need a good intern at your firm, please contact her. Harold is an Adjunct Professor, where he taught the graduate-level Seminar In Investments last fall and he is currently assisting in curriculum development this spring.
Without a doubt, they are invaluable resources to our program.
